A friend and I own a modern logitech webcam next to microphone and there's deeply of bird like screech?

My webcam is hooked up to a usb hub (4 outlets)behind my workstation and hers is hooked up to a laptop. They both installed easily and we enjoy followed the directions re the sound test etc. If she covers the microphone hole on her webcam the noise go away but as soon as she starts talking it comes vertebrae. Mine doesn't seem to affect it. If we could gain rid of this noise it would work immaculately. Can anyone help?

camera and mic are too close to your speakers this is call feedback. move speakers futher away from camera.
Your next problem *might* be reverberate from the speakers...your mic picking up your friends voice from the speakers...

To resolve this, get inexpensive headset w/mics.

Enjoy!
Both of the previous answers are correct ways to resolve the problem. Good Luck
It could be that the microphone is to close to another device, causing feedback ( a ruthless screechy sound). A solution to this would be to move the mic' as far as possible away from any other cause of interference. Another basis could be a mis-match between mic and system, in this casing you may have to swap for another device instead. You could try using a pop shield, a piece of nylon stretched over a frame of sorts, to cut out the large frequencies and external noise from other devices teles, radio's etc..
