A prompt queston in the region of my wireless router?

Hi everyone,

After today's thunderstorm, my wireless router have gone dead. I've tried unplugging and replugging it but it is stll kaput.

I was wondering if I needed to capture a new one or in attendance were ways to fix it?

A prompt queston in the region of my wireless router?

First thought is it get hit by over current or voltage spike. Will it turn on at all? You could check to see if the AC adapter is what get damaged. Check the voltage of the adapter and see if you own another like it. Important to clash the voltage EXACTLY. If you can do that and the router still will not work then I would own to say that it is tatty and you will need to buy a clean one. While you are at it, you should have a GOOD surge protector on adjectives your computer equipment. Not the 10.00 ones but spend at least 40.00 it will be worth it contained by the long-run.

It probably get fried... do you smell something burn inside? check the power adapter and smell to see if its burned. Try the small reset button on the back ( small pin size hole ) .
deceased as in No power late? if you have it plugged contained by and you get no power consequently yes its dead, manufacture sure its not the outlet, try another outlet. if it has power but of late won't work, then we stipulation more info, model what LEDs are on etc..
Most wireless routers have free tech support. Call and see if you can troubleshoot it.
Try the reset button if it have one. Both with the power on and after trying to hold it down as you plug power in. If you bring back no lights make sure your AC Adapter is giving voltage. If it is your routers fried. I assume the power outlet is working and a circuit breaker didn't trip during the storm.
