Hi guys, I've be running low on space, so I want to add another rugged drive. However, this hard drive be previously used on a modded xbox (it's a 200GB), so I'll need to reformat it. The problem is that my xbox is broken, so I can't reformat it nearby. I've plugged the hard drive and adjectives, and I realized I have two hard drives already installed.
Both are using alike IDE cable and are in the master setting. They work great. However, the third tricky drive is assigned to the second array and it won't show up as a letter (J: E: , etc). It does show below Device Manager. Any ideas?
Adding a third complicated drive...?
Two things:
You can not enjoy two master hard drives on impossible to tell apart cable, I think you proabably hold one set to CS (Cable Seletct). I would leave it lone it it works.
As for the other drive on the minor IDE controler it needs to be any Master or CS.
When your computer starts you have to run into the BIOS and insure that it sees the topical drive.
Hope this helps

hmm...i think you can reformat it within the disk management... or simply use a usb to format it...
