Can a graphics card do what a video appropriation card can?

I hold a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics card, with what 128 mb of RAM? I've installed a total of something like 3GB of RAM on my computer. I want to convert VHS to Digital and burn some DVDs for family.

Do I have need of to be concerned with Video RAM on my computer?

Do I call for to update my graphics card or just win a video capture card? Either opening I need a process to get analog into my computer. Is here a good point video capture card?

How do I know if my motherboard is PCI express arranged? I'm not much of a gamer, but the possibility is always within? Lots of questions which can travel a million different directions. But lots of new words for me as I look on the internet and I regard several may mean like peas in a pod thing, but I'm sorta a neophyte at adjectives of this. Thanks in mortgage.

Can a graphics card do what a video appropriation card can?

You do need a video occupation device ( External USB, or internal PCI, or Laptop-PCMCIA, all work fitting. They all come near software, and most all do the converting internal to themselves. This reduce the need for large end CPU power to process the facts stream and convert it to usable data. Some say-so they can use USB 1.1, but I would make sure I have USB 2.0 to be able to fiddle with the data input. You really don't entail to upgrade video ram, and 3GB is more than plenty RAM. Depending on which way you would similar to to go- New Video w/ integrated capture ( roughly $150 to 250 ) or new invasion card ( $50 to 150 ) should not be too difficult.

As far as PCI express, there should be a website for the MOBO mfgr, and they should own that info...

Cam keep locking up?

my net cam keeps frezzing after nearly 2 minuts anyone have any thinking as to why

Cam keep locking up?

I've found that if my quality settings are too dignified sometimes either the USB bus or the program interpreting the video will crash down behind and freeze up because it's basically overloaded.

Try turning down the quality, or disconnecting adjectives other USB devices so it has the intact USB bus to itself.

Cam I use a flash card next to a USB 2.0 connector on a computer near USB 1.1 ports?

Yes but you will probobly draw from a warning that it would work better next to 2.0, ignore it.

It will be a short time slower than if it had 2.0
Yes, but you only just have to keep on a little longer, zilch more.
Yes you can. USB 1.1 just resources it moves data more slowly.
Should be capable of, albeit much slower. Unless the guide or manual indicates it is individual for USB 2.0.

Cable Modem Vs ADSL Modem?

Hi, Can anyone inform me what is the different between cable modem & ADSL modem..

Is CABLE modem same as CABLE Broadband.

Would need assistance, not sure which to subscribe.

Thanks

Cable Modem Vs ADSL Modem?

They are both a form of broadband, and they are both about impossible to tell apart speed.

In many market, you can get slower DSL and stockpile money over faster DSL. DSL is uaully cheaper then cable.

Overall, one is not better afterwards the other... but in some neighborhoods, some PROVIDERS are better consequently others.

For example, me and a friend of mine live about 4 miles apart. We both hold had Cable and DSL.

For me, my DSL be always dropping out and be slow... so I switched to Cable, and I have no problems.

The oppisate happen to my friend... he had cable, it be constantly going down, so he switched to DSL and he has no problems.

I would look for who have the better offer at the moment and step with them. If it sucks, consequently switch. also, ask your neighbors what they have, and how in good health it works.
ADSL modem works by connecting a phone cable to your phone jack. Cable modem in the singapore context technique the modem given you by Starhub or SCV, which connects to a round socket on a white box that was installed on your wall, probably 7-8 years ago if you do not live in a more recently-built place.
Cable is broadband. ADSL is faster DSl. Go withthe cable for faster speeds.

Most DSL providers don't block any ports so you can run a mail/web server etc.. Maybe hold on to that in mind.

Buying alien internal HD. Need a lil give a hand?

I hold 2 SATA hard drives but want to upgrade one next to a 500Gb HD i have see, however the drive is a SATA II. I have of late the normal SATA on my motherboard, is the SATA II towards the back compatible like USB2 to USB 1.

Buying alien internal HD. Need a lil give a hand?

There is a pullover on the back of SATA II drives where on earth the power and data connections are to downgrade it to SATA 1. There is a diagram on the drive unfolding you in what position this pullover should be to enable SATA 1.

I hope this help.
motherboard won't allow sata II speeds, but it will work.
yes
Yes it is !!
Hi

Before spending i would check the motherboard maker website to see if the size is not a problem or do you involve a bios update?[The bios chip has a sticker showing altered copy so you can find out and the motherboard will have a model numer on it and inventor name.

Buying a Web Cam?

Okay so, I'm planning on buying a Web Cam. I be wondering which type, in your assessment, would be the best type to buy. Also, what store should I purchase it from? I am thinking of getting one with a built contained by microphone so I don't have to buy one of those too. Tell me what you imagine! Thank you!

Buying a Web Cam?

Okay! I just bought a webcam finishing week! It was SO uncomplicated to install! I bought the Logitech QuickCam Communicate STX. It has a built surrounded by mic, and I've used it to talk/see my sister in Chile! It works really ably. It also includes Skype. That's the program you use for video I believe. www.skype.com All I can say is, I love it and it works really all right. You can also record video and take pictures beside it. Just go to any store close to Best Buy or Circuit City, CompUSA, that kind of point. Good luck!
