Can adjectives rugged drives be installed erect into defence?

I hold some old unyielding drives I want to put into my new build. Will they work properly or are they built to be horizontal contained by the case. The ripened hard drives are no more than 3-4 yrs prehistoric.

Any orientation is fine... hang on to in mind that different brand-name manufacturer have built cases of varied types- minitowers, desktops, slimlines- with drives mounted every which instrument. Just make sure your cable have rather slack and there's good airflow.
You can install it any position you want.
Many elder Hard Drives will get break if they are not placed correctly - not inside the case, but near respect to the ground, because they are designed to spin either vertically, or horizontally, but not both ways.

So it doesn't issue if they are perpendicular or horizontal on the satchel, as long as they are properly set with respect to the ground.
Its be my experience that as long as they aren't cockeyed they should be fine. Basically don't lay it so that its resting on the edge of a corner.
