Can I use two RAM sticks from diff maker even if they are of like speed? will it pose any problems?

DDR400 Ocz and Kingston

Also can i use RAM stick wth diff speeds on alike board at the same time?(DDR266 and DDR 333 P4 S478)

hi some motherboards are different and individual except certain ram of stick. due check it out before you buy them as most places will not purloin them back.
yes different manafacturers is fine.

As for speeds, most RAM sticks are backwards compatible so if you use a 266 stick and a 333 stick, consequently they will both run at 266.
different makers is ok

but the ddr type and the speed must be equal

otherwise your computer will explode!

not playing around!
yes that will be fine - check on the chips themselves, chances are they will be impossible to tell apart anyway!

in answer to your second interrogate, you could try setting the clock speed halfway between the two but i doubt it will run capably - if at all
Mixing make and speeds can cause problems. When I worked for a laptop manufacturer we have an Approved Parts List which was a document of what parts were OK beside what. Mixing speeds is more likely to bring problems than mixing manufacturers of alike speed. Download a copy of Grigoriev's memtest to make a 100% sure.
You should be fine.
as long as the RAM is equal spec then the businessman doesn't matter.
Different brands, different speeds, no problem on single bridge mode. BIOS will just read the SPD of respectively RAM stick and synchronize their speed and timings. BIOS will default RAM speed and timings to that of the slowest RAM.
