Can I plug my Nintendo Wifi USB Connector into my laptop?

I know it's a stupid cross-question, as laptops are supported by routers(which means i wouldn't requirement a nintendo wifi usb connector) but my router does not work with my nintendo ds for WiFi. So if i bought the usb connector for WiFi and plugged it into my laptop, would the WiFi work?
