Can i put a pc3200 memory stick surrounded by a computer beside pc2100 installed at duplicate time?

I hold an emachines t2042 with 128mb of pc2100 strike and i want to put 512mb of pc3200 ram at matching time so it has 640mb. Can I transport the pc3200 stick out later and put contained by different computer?

Yes, you can use the PC3200 RAM if it's otherwise compatible with your device. It's just not going to run as speedy as it's capable of because you own slower RAM in your system already. Also, the other components surrounded by your system might not recognize the speed of that RAM stick, which will also maintain it from running at its full speed.



As with your present mechanism, if a different computer is compatible with the PC3200 RAM, in that shouldn't be any problem about taking it out and using it on that computer.
